Edit - I added some crash cymbals throughout the song, and made the crash at the end of the song suddenly slow down like a turntable stopping very fast, then it pops into white noise.

...And whoever said drugs are bad?

I decided to make this because the Dragonforce project was getting on my nerves and I needed a break.

This was just a quick one-off made in about 4 hours. I made this to "stretch my legs" in terms of effects and different types of synths, sounds, and various combinations of the two.

For the main bass, I used a SID Chip-like VST called Quantum64, the Rhodes was produced via MrRay73. (Best. Free. Rhodes. Period.) The pad/arp was Minimouge VA, as was the crazy sound effect in the intro. The drum-like bass monotone bass line playing along with the main riff was a preset arp setting on FL's synth Sytrus. (That thing is freakin MONSTROUS.) The classic "WREEOWSZH" sound towards the beginning was performed via OverMoog, and the little synth solo at the end was MiniMug. Most of the effects processors I used were supplied with FruityLoops, as were all drum samples. For the crash at the end of the song, I fucked it up using (if I remember correctly) DB Blue Glitch or something to that effect. Also, the really breathy sound heard after the drums get going full force is a sample in FruityLoops of a guy saying "GO!", but I sent it through too much reverb. That static at the end of the song, after the crash is done freaking out, is produced by the Magical 8-bit Plugin, from somewhere in Japan.

Another thing, some of the coolest sounds in this track are just by-products of the different sounds intermingling. I don't mind, I think it sounds great.

I'm probably gonna end up making another one like this tonight, I'm now offficially back into music with a vengeance.

Another fun fact - that little synth solo at the end of the song was copied verbatim from one of my earliest songs.
