Psychic scars occur when the brain is exposed to hazardous information, in which it will "dump" it out through the eyes. The scars in question look like peeled-off skin, though the skin layer itself is perfectly fine - suffering no damage. Continued exposure to psychic hazards results in the scars getting bigger and even actually damaging the skin.

Despite the brain's best efforts, psychic damage is permanent and so are the scars. They never heal and the victim in question will periodically begin to experience hallucinations, disembodied sounds & voices, as well as super-mild pain when blinking. These side-effects vary depending on how lethal the damage was.

Instances of psychic scars appearing elsewhere on the body do exist but are *incredibly* rare. The brain dumps the hazardous information through the eyes as It's the closest opening to throw it out of (the ears being the second and the nose being the third).
