The first track I created with proper tools. You can play this track in a normal drop tuning (I've done it myself), but with me being the adventurous idiot I am (don't come after me for that, I'm just cracking a joke), I used a customised 7-string variant of drop B. This tuning was B-F#-B-E-G-B-E and you probably shouldn't do it to your instruments unless you know what you're doing, but I used it for this and another track that I've got archived.
This stemmed from a brief one-and-a-half minute long demo track I created to get used to PC tools like Ardour. After passing a copy of the track to a few friends and experiencing a positive reception, I was spurred on to turn this into a full-fledged song. Over the years, I've had a hard time trying to categorise this one, but I think I'm satisfied with referring to it as an alt/industrial rock track.
I named it Stomp because the first mental image I had when listening to it post-creation was of a crowd stomping their feet.
All songwriting and performance is mine.
