Not gonna lie, this project was a long time in the works, even if my work on it in that time was pretty on and off. The very first draft of this was started all the way back in November 2021, and back then it was quite strongly inspired by DJVI's song "Angels". The version you're listening to right now, which I picked up again as my main project a few months ago, has admittedly very little in common with the original, with the remnants of the original concept being the lyrics (sung by the Marie Ork voice bank in Alter/Ego), title and a much more toned-down drawing from "Angels", this time only keeping the chord progression of the main theme but shifted to match the new key. Beyond that, the current version draws a bunch from both DJVI's "Cosmic Growl" and, to an arguably greater extent, Avicii's "I Could Be The One". Overall, I like how this turned out, and I hope you enjoy listening!
