I cannot overstress how this track is one of my favorite ones. I was feeling inspired by Misery Signals one night, so I decided to listen to a few Misery Signals songs, including "Worlds and Dreams" from their first record Of Malice and the Magnum Heart. Their sound is influenced by post-rock, and it sounds like falling rain. You could just wake up one morning or be up at night and just look outside your window and think, "Huh. It's raining."
I didn't have an electric guitar to play on the track, so I resorted to a synth lead laced with reverb and delay for an icy/rainy feel, and then I strapped some bass on and some pads and rhythm synth to show what Aurora Borealis sounds like. I used a MIDI guitar originally, but then I replaced it with an actual recorded acoustic guitar for a realer feel.

It's not surprising that by the time this is up we'll still be in winter, albeit a few days away from spring in March. The weather's rainy at these times, so bump this at any time. Have it on while you sleep, or when you're up sitting next to a window in your room.
