Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty"

James 4:8 says, "Draw near to God, and He'll draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts you double-minded." God wants to have a real, living relationship with you and that's why He sent His son Jesus Christ to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life before God as a man, took up a cross that should've been ours and rose from the dead to prove that His death paid for our sins and that He is victorious over sin, death and the devil. If we seek to be near God in our lives, it will not just be an open display when we are at church, it will be a desire to seek God when no one else is around too. The reality is that God wants (and deserves) you're whole life, not just Sunday and not just when we are around others (Romans 12:1). As David said, "Let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are great" (excerpt from 2 Samuel 24:14) God is much better at handling my needs and problems than I am, let's call on Him!
