This is the second of two commisioned pieces I did for my mother's art exhibition of abandoned wooden house sketches. As a contrast to the melancholic melodies of the first one, this piece leans more in a nihilistic dark ambient direction, focused on deep sub-bass, field recordings and sound design.
"Innbo" is another Norwegian term used in legal proceedings relating to "dødsbo". "Innbo" specifically refers to personal belongings and furniture within a house or property. This is also sometimes called "løsøre". My title choice here is to both reflect this word and its property relation in contrast to "dødsbo", but also to highlight the introverted aspects of the word itself, directly translated: "Inside-stay". The things left behind in a house can reflect as much of a life ended and a place frozen in time as much as the house itself.
