Without over explaining the concept, this song has a very clear 3 act structure that I hope you vibe with. (Or vibe with at least one of the acts! Lol!) I'm curious what the story is to you if you'd like to leave a comment about what you pictured while listening!

I had a ton of fun with this. It's one of my most unique tracks yet and I'm certain it will be divisive, but I'm happy with it being that way, it's how I like to produce :)

It definitely came down to the wire and I am a bit of a perfectionist, so some areas are a bit more polished than others due to time constraints, but that's the beauty of these contests!

Thank you to all the judges for all the hard work, thanks for having me in NGADM and NGUAC!

Saweeeeeeeet.
Been a while since I've heard a refreshing dance piece.
May the best man win.

Super unique, me likey !

I like the muffled vocals and piano at the beginning. The sound design here in general is really strong, and the rich harmonies and rhythmic elements are also enjoyable. The part at :31 felt a bit like an anti-climax. I kept expecting it to be just an extended stop-start transition, but by the time the goofy sound effects came in at :31, the piece just lost all its momentum in my mind. There are definitely some cool elements of the piece later on, like the distorted vocals and syncopations at 1:49, and the production quality is top-notch. The doppler effect at 1:13 is also a nice touch, and the piece is certainly catchy throughout. I just think the body of it is a little too minimal and understated to be effective. Sorry! I think if you had successfully capitalized on the emotional appeal of the first 30 seconds of this piece, it would score at least a full point higher. Still, Iā€™m giving you full credit for mixing, sound design, and originality here. Keep at it, GameBoyFireworks! Thanks for coming out to the NGUAC. ^_^

This track had me sit down and say "what the fuck"

I am in awe. I'll leave it at that. I would prefer a bit more volume or perhaps distortion on the sub in the latter section, but beyond that, this track is just, chef's kiss.

GameBoyFireworks responds:

Thank you so much!! That means so much coming from you!

Your musical taste/instinct is really quite refreshing. I can safely say I've never heard anything like this, in the most positive way. I really appreciate your courage to make the choices you made here, because the end result is pure ear candy. This is honestly epic and quite inspiring. Your sound design is amazing. Good luck in the finals; I think this will do very well!

GameBoyFireworks responds:

Thank you so much! I really really appreciate those kind words. I've been telling myself that it's best to win or lose "my way", so I'm hoping some of the judges are able to vibe with my style, but I totally understand how polarizing it may be. Again, thank you so much for the review! Reviews like this really keep you going šŸ’ž
