This is the album version of Track 3 from Warcrimes, 'Hammer Down'. For this one I aimed for something a little more folk/viking metal-ish. This is my most re-recorded and restarted track out of every one, I have 3 completely different versions of this song. I'll maybe put out one of the more finished demos as a proto version of what this song eventually became but it's entirely different from what it became.

The concept of this song is around a Goliath Warrior named Uthal, loyal friend, himbo beefcake and all around good guy. You know, when he's not bashing skulls. Outed from his tribe and left for dead by his own brother he became a mercenary in the hopes of earning back the favor of his people, only to learn his tribe had been wiped out by famine in his absence. Now the final surviving member of his people he finds a new family in his misfit party of other murdere- I mean adventurers.
