Hey FW,
Some real instruments playing here. Great job on whoever played the instruments. I am a bit confused about the 4 people you talk about. I hear the electric guitar, the acoustic guitar, and the bass. That means 3 people....unless your the one doing the sound? This is what I thought.
Good:
1) Real instruments = talent needed to play them. That already puts you or whoever of you 4 played these trio of instruments way above a lot of NG musicians.
2) I like the electric guitar. It isn't overly distorted and has no spikes in volume. Strumming the strings at almost a constant force...nice job... unless your doing some really good sound checking (if you were the sound guy)
3) I like the change in speed of the song. Sometimes the bass plays sparse notes and sometimes plays a bunch of notes quickly. Adds variety.
4) Oh, I heard the panning to end the song. Now that was nice to hear.
Changes:
1) Well the electric guitar is creating the diversity. The other two instruments aren't really changing much in composition.
2) The acoustic guitar is playing somewhat generic chords over and over again. Yeah it changes in a few parts, just not enough to really take notice.
3) Nice general rock song, but you may need some drums in here. Or maybe try a piano synth included. Having all string instruments play is good, but a different category of instruments meshed together sounds better.
So, the song is well mixed and mastered. Kudos to you if you were the sound guy. More kudos to you if you were one of the players. Put some vocals in this song in the future. For some reason I feel like I heard a song with vocals before that used the same acoustic guitar pattern that's why I just think vocals would be perfect in this song. 5/5 vote and 9/10 review. Oh and tell Mark, Zoey, and Tim that I said you all did a good job playing the instruments and sound checking.
Oh wish me luck on my final exam which is tomorrow!!!
Bye for now.
