  • any feedback on the mixing in particular would be much appreciated, im inexperienced with that

Only real instruments were used, everything recorded solo by me! Figured I would finish mixing this and submit it now since I'm trying to get my scoutability back.

This song is a personal piece which is very different from basically all my other stuff, but I'm happy to finally show it.

Originally written by me all the way back in 2019, I can finally present my most serious and proudest work to date. I sang and recorded all the instruments on this myself. All my years of playing drums, along with teaching myself the basics of how to play guitar and bass these past 6 or so years has finally led up to me releasing a solo recorded rock song which I'm actually proud of.

Not putting this on streaming services or anything because it's a serious piece and I want it to be enjoyed by a smaller group of people than the bigger audience I've gotten from Geometry Dash.

This song is about feeling helpless and static in life, while everything passes you by and others turn their backs on you. At the time I wrote this I was a sophomore in high school with not a lot of friends, and I was feeling pretty lonely a lot of the time. Stayed true over the years and I would come back to playing this song every now and then, but never recorded it until this past summer.

Sound is inspired by various pop punk and alt rock bands. If it's mixed badly I'm sorry, I've never really seriously learned how to do so. It certainly doesn't sound professional cause this is just kind of a trial run.

Hope you all enjoy!
