It started with me wondering if I can make something that sounds pretty traditional, like ancient Chinese/Japanese traditional, as I was just toying around with Garageband on my iPad (yes I still have it and yes Procreate has been sitting on its rocking chair after all these months), and then that led to me just opening up Ultrabox and seeing what I can make.
For this one, this was set to Phrygian Dominant in the E key. Initially I was going for an Egyptian/Arabian tune for the music (evident with the lead), but then I thought of mashing together that whistle sometimes associated with cowboys/The Wild West, so it's a mix of both here.
Samples used:
Samples are pretty all around for this one. Initially I didn't have much and it was just a little concept idea but overtime I made some expansions to it. Listening to it now gives off a mixed vibe of Shantae, Lavasteam (from Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter if anybody remembers those games, GOD THEY WERE SO GOOD FOR THE DS), and a bit of some misc desert areas from say, Mario and Banjo-Kazooie.
(If something from this is a bit loud let me know and I'll tune it.)
