HO HO HOPE you become a Newgrounds Supporter this year!
We're working hard to give you the best site possible, but we have bills to pay and community support is vital to keep things going and growing. Thank you for considering!
I was crunched for time on this one; I'm not pleased with it, as production really fell apart near the end. The idea was to try making House music, but I ran into issues with the DAW I use that really sucked away my time and patience.
Mixcraft is a weird program that really pisses me off sometimes. I tried to mix this into a low-quality mp3, then import that to a new project and run it through a small FX stack, and then mix THAT output to its own low-quality mp3, but the tempo and pitch kept dropping under any amount of load, especially on some of the other quality presets. So this is just a mix of an HQ wav down into a low quality mp3.
Also, Mixcraft does not let you program MIDI controller nodes in a way that even remotely resembles sense. You place bars down that go from like -32k to 32k, but you can't zoom in, you can't see what you're doing, it's simultaneously precise down to the subpixel and imprecise enough to float, and it's a pain in the ass to reset controlled elements once you've made any changes. Mixcraft lives and breathes the legacy Windows UI design philosophy, and so it at times the program feels less like a DAW for musicians and more like a DAW for accountants. Just my two cents.
