Here we have the first song on the "Elseworld" album, "Origin", and I gotta say, this is kind of a weird one in a funny way. It's drawing from all these different cinematic orchestral pieces (namely the "Avengers" theme by Alan Silvestri, the "Transformers: Prime" theme by Brian Tyler, and "Arrival to Earth" by Steve Jablonsky)... but then throws in some electric guitar, and if that wasn't weird enough for you, translates all that into a kinda club techno style track. Suffice to say the concept is definitely a weird one, but I really like how it turned out, and I hope you all enjoy listening as well!

This is absolutely amazing!

I really love how 0:00-0:29 flows so well together, and it’s not too abrupt with the entrance of the different sections at 0:14.

0:29-0:58 was a great buildup into the first drop, nothing seemed overpowering and all continued to flow amazingly.

Now the drop, 0:58-1:55. It was freaking epic! The tempo changes and introduction of the guitar at 1:26 really kept it going and helped prevent repetitiveness.

The bridge between the two drops sounded great as well, although the cutoff from the drop was a bit sudden the first time listening.

Now, the only reason I’m not giving this a full 5 stars is 3:07-3:35, the first part of the second drop. This is just personal opinions of course, but it felt a bit off, sounding like it was trying to include some Dubstep like elements, which to me just don’t sound quite right (I still like the part a lot regardless)

But the second part of the second drop was spectacular! I absolutely love how the different instruments were integrated.

And then the post drop 4:05-4:22 was a great conclusion to this great piece!

I hope more people see this, it’s so underrated! And this piece does a great job at representing its inspirations, while still sounding completely unique and its own thing.

My more accurate rating: 4.67/5
(almost got rounded up to 5 stars)

Synfang responds:

I can't say there was any intention of any dubstep-like parts; assuming you mean that one big lead there (which you may not be intending, but I can't think of what else about it would give that vibe), I kinda had Dimrain47's "The Falling Mysts" and, to a greater extent, Hardwell's "Laser Light" in mind with that. In any case, glad to hear some positive feedback for a track from the album; thank you for taking the time to listen.
