there are nights where i cannot sleep no matter how hard i try. a dozen of my worst nightmares are creeping behind my back, itching to take me the moment i turn around in bed, or dwell in the dark too long, or get too comfortable around black screens.

this is a short series of tracks made to ground myself after midnight. 2, 3, even 5 am, these tracks were made and finished. these are meditative exercises that gave me respite and air to breathe when the night terrors were on a mission. it's normally a simple haunting that takes an hour away from my life, but sometimes my heart sinks to the bottom and i freeze, thinking that moving a muscle is a death sentence.

Track 2 from Low Poly. An ambient techno EP made for Novatone's OGC 2025. The nature of OGC being obscure genres of music in general. I picked ambient techno because of my love of ambient music and admiration of artists in the genre like Aphex Twin and Actress. All the songs in this EP were created late at night. I sometimes have trouble sleeping due to my vivid imagination and trauma related to the early shock horror that was on the internet growing up. These songs served as grounding mechanisms. They were all finished relatively quickly with a mix and master style inspired by the rough, tape-distorted mixes of Selected Ambient Works 85-92. This song is named after the fog that surrounds old Silent Hill games and was added to disguise a low render distance.
