As heard in Sonic Legacy episode 5 (https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/970804) just as Sonic touches a chaos emerald for the first time and flashes of his future pass before him. This song is an intense, 7-count Drum 'n Bass track, to resemble the mysterious power within a chaos emerald, and was inspired by the various Supersonic battles throughout the Sonic franchise

Doing tracks with unique counts and styles is always a fun challenge, and doing a 7-count DnB was something I'd always wanted to do. I feel like it's a style that's best fit for boss stages and challenge modes. It's a test of creativity to be able to fit everything and make the music flow together. There was some experimentation with some instruments, playing around with LFO and filters to create a modern EDM sounding bass instrument that wasn't too overpowering on the rest of the track. The flute in the bridge was inspired by caragor riding in a game called "Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor", as this was a huge inspiration for executing a successful 7-count track.
