(TGF) Vulpus Overture Redux

Author Comments

This is essentially my original "Vulpus Overture" I fixed some problems, and added more instruments and melodies that have dramatically changed the song's feeling. I felt that this was much better than the first. Please tell me how you feel about it. (updated... fixed the odd violins and cleared up some of the clutter.)

Breaking-down of the song:

Part 1- The introduction. fades in with calm melody, transitioning to Vulpus national anthem.
Part 2- Vulpus national anthem. First part where percussion is introduced.
Part 3- Anthem fades into a little flute melody. This meoldy represents the public life of the kingdom.
Part 4- Dramatic buildup 1. Vulpus is preparing to fight the war of Greenfort (Wait for other songs...)
Part 5- The "No turning back" March to war.
Part 6- The March fades into the quietness before the war, then dramatic buildup 2 begins.
Part 7- The battle of Greenfort commenses.
Part 8- Song outtro.

DOO DEW DOO DU DEW DOO

Awesome man, just purely composed from the mind's pedestals . You rock, I love your music, people don't seem to see the fact that songs on Newgrounds that aren't cliche bullshit are voted all the way down, because they aren't used to it . LET SFORM AN ARMY AND SHOW THEM WHAT ORIGINAL MUSIC CAN DO ! WOO! (Goes well with this song) XD

Cool redux bro.

Same vibe, but with a different orchestral approach as the other one. Still has that "Pirates of the Caribbean" vibe.

Drumrolls were a nice addition to this.

BudGPStudios responds:

I'm glad to hear that.

Truely Epic

I must say this is a very lovely piece. It almost sounds of russian decent which is a plus. This would go lovely with a few films of mine.

Good job mate
9/10

BudGPStudios responds:

Thanks. And I did shoot for a russian feeling, since Vulpus is inhabited by descendents of a russian like culture... (You'll learn more from the other songs about my story world. They're all prefixed "TGF". The old overture gives the background for this particular part.)

Epic

Probably one of the best songs I've heard on the portal, in a long while. Love the way it builds and crumbles. Nearly instantly. Just seems to work. I sounded like it was actually made by an orchestra. A truly epic song indeed, now you just need a movie contract :P

BudGPStudios responds:

I almost got a movie contract because of this song... more like "make 20 full length cinematic scores by the end of summer" thing... I declined because I wouldn't have the time. Thanks for the review
