Surprising

I'm surprised this has a 4.25 out of 5. Usually music this experimental doesn't do very well. I really dug it. From the sampling to the almost tribal drumming to the discordant and cacophonous guitar that sounded like it didn't belong. None of it fit together. Yet it totally did. I'm surprised that someone who seems primarily influenced by black metal (all I saw was bm bands in the user's favorite music section) would come up with this. It's very "out there."

on the one hand, you could've spent about 5 minutes making this... which would demand a very low score. I'm still trying to decide.

The drum beat is spaz but I strapped on the headphones and had a close listen. They are actually quite catchy and not at all shabby. The FX over the drums are interesting... reminds me (a little bit) of Primus on Brown Album. Sort of distorted. The whole thing is a little bit Primus... way out of left field.

I think it's the guitars that bug me... they don't really go with the beat. I don't mind the harsh overdriven nature of the sound but I can't really hear that you've tried to think about the guitars too much.

Still, I didn't hate it. I'm smiling. Is that what you're aiming for?
