A real driven energy. Simple but powerful orchestr

When I first heard it, it was a letdown compared to the original - I was just hoping for more fun techno goodness and was disappointed. Coming to it again now, though, I can enjoy it for what it is. A thoroughly driving piece.

This definitely has more of a dramatic feel than v1 - specially with the samples you used for the beats. I'm not sure I like the clicky clap that you use at the end of every 2nd bar though.

I love the introduction, with a couple of bars of the beats solo. The end sounded abrupt for a long time though (basically until I knew to expect it, by which time most of its effectiveness was already gone) - maybe having a cymbal or another extra-loud/resonating when the tune 'dies' would help make it feel less abrupt. yeah, it's slightly cliche, but it works. Love the extra beats after the 'death' though.

Maybe you could have fitted in an extra counter-melody at points, in the bg?

The strings do seem to lead towards an increasing tempo and they're probably my favourite element. I like how the whole thing is relatively simple but has this driving force behind it. I couldn't see myself deleting this file.

A very thorough review, thank you Bezman!

I'm not sure which version I like better. The first version had that "oldschool video game" feeling to it, but this one has a very nice orchestral sound. Also, this track is longer than Version 1, which is also a good thing.

But you should try to make the orchestra a tad bit louder. It's too much in the background now, so that it's nearly a bit hard to make out... even though there isn't much else going on there!

You also should work on the ending a bit. It sounds pretty much cut off right now.
I think the ending at 2:12 is already pretty good, so you should cut out the rest after that.

Good stuff

A nice beat to accompany this one - very uniform and well played out. I think that it is much better than the first one, as you've gone for the length this time.

A rather abrupt semi-ending, followed by a little stutter, which wasn't to my liking, although the rest of the track was. Could have had a little more variation, which points towards the beat as the main repetitive feature of this track, rather than the backing strings, which were nice and inpiring.

Thank you!

Well.

I liked it better then the first one, it seems after reading some of the reviews that I am one of few that did. I noticed that you said this was made first and then the other one was made second? That def. doesn't make any sense in titling then. Shouldn't you name this one version 1 and that one version 2? Anyway, this one had what the other one didn't have and that is length. If the other one had been longer then I would of given it a better score. I should of given it a lower rating now that I think about it, around a 6. This one deserves an 8 though even border line 9.

BreakingFaces responds:

Thanks, it was version two because version one is the one I'll use for the main title sequence.

Not a good

I not to surer about this its a real letdown compared to the orginal.

Well i like the orchestra its powerful, the tune is dramatic. The drums are cool i like the way ,you get different styles of sounds. The beat has got a good rythnm to it. The classical elements are pretty good ,they add to making it sound different. The sound has a feel of soilders, hitting thier drums.

The trouble is the remix, does not sound as good. Im not sure why may be because the trance, track worked better, without addding classical parts. The tune is still similar just lacks the feelin,g and freshness of the orginal .I think its longer makes it loss it appea,l as the first shortness made it not repetive. The drums do get annoying.

Ovreal a total letdown on its own fine mayb,e i would have not minded. Had i not seen the first.

BreakingFaces responds:

....ok then...
Actually, this wasn't a remix, it was made from scratch. the first one was actually made after this one.
