This is my entry for the October Monthly Audio Competition (MAC8), Flight in Freedom. The challenge was to compose a piece to a picture. Here's a link to the thread: http://www.newgrounds.com /bbs/topic/976082 (Remove any spaces). It's a picture of a small plane flying off into the sunset.

Hopefully this song captures the image for you. Rate, review, and enjoy! =D

From 0:26 to 1:46, this is one of the best classical submissions Ive heard in a while. It has variety, it builds on itself, developes interesting rhythms, and is very plesant to listen to. Then, without warning, it a techno track falls on to it. I understand why you did this (I think), but I would have liked at least a small warning before the electronic track jumps in. Otherwise very good work!

EchozAurora responds:

Basically.. and I wanted to start the song off with the classical to kinda show the take-off portion.. and the electronic section for flying through the clouds.

Thanks for the review!

AWESOME

i really like the mlody really has feeling to it

EchozAurora responds:

Thanks.. I didn't even place in the comp, but I definitely think it did a good job describing the picture, and that's all that matters really.

Fantastic melody..

I kinda thought: "Is he going out on the ocean, since an engine started?"

Anyways, I was stunned when i heard that beautiful melody come to my ears.. It had such quality that It made me cry a little when the bells came in :'(

And then the cool stuff came! Wow! Just pure awesome! I really liked the gated synths, and the BASS! THE BASS! Wow. just wow...

You better look out, because someone might use this in their movie/game or whatever ;D

I'm not so good at reviewing, so this is all i got (I'm such a noob at the audio artist's language)

5'd, 10'd and FAV'D!
-Psyc ;)

EchozAurora responds:

Hey, this was a pretty good review for a audio artist language noob.. lol.. whatever that may be.

Trust me.. I've seen plenty of bad ones.. some.. you don't even know what the person is trying to say.

Ex: Refer to below review by "Wartooth118"

"Not bad, kinda not fun to listen to by itself though" Score: 9/10

So.. I have to ask myself... by the high score.. does this mean that the person enjoyed it.. because they had something else to... I dunno.. go along with it.. and assume by itself.. it wouldn't be enjoyable? Very confusing.

Anywho, thanks for the review! I'll definitely check back on your stuff as you work on it.. your stuff has a lot of potential.

wow

Legit. i really like how you added the audio clips although they carry allot of folie (which i don't think is a bad thing but just feels like somethings missing when it goes). I think we kinda have a similar style in a way. For my mac entry i tried to do something kinda like you did, beginning classical then added some synths. Im a bit uncertain though about how you brought in the synth. Also i like the way you ended it fading in some chime sounding things. Anyways great work and good luck :}.

EchozAurora responds:

Yeah.. I really wanted to add more in the way of audio clips.. but I just couldn't find samples that I really wanted.. that would fit well in there.

Thanks for the review, I'm off to go check your entry out now. =D

Hmm...

Not bad...kinda not fun to listen to by itself though.

EchozAurora responds:

...So... what do you suggest to... go along with it?...

A sunset? Perhaps a cup of tea? I dunno what you mean.. by saying.. "by itself" =|
