I tried singing some lyrics to this, soft and just impromptu, and I thought it fit pretty well. I don't know what direction you're heading in, or what you want them to be about.

You have a really great melody going on here, but to make it more hip hop-ish you could probably add more of a beat with more kicks and hats and stuff

i have to agreewith shadowscythe, this isnt really hiphop, altough you can hear certain elements of it in the midlle.
but i just give a 10 because this is really good,smooth,calming,....

PS: do not add vocals, i think the song is much better this way!
