This does sound like something from the game Phantasy Star. But more so from Episode I&II.

I'll admit, it takes a little bit to get used to the slow pacing you gave the song; I almost didn't believe it was a Sonic song at first. But if you're willing to mello out a little bit, this song is pretty good to relax to. Since you aimed for a slower song, you did pretty good job.
