I like this song as it is, I like the smoothness of it. I agree it´s hard to classify this because I feel it´s a combinathion between different genres. This song sends my thoughts to my favourite videogame metroid, I love it ^^

I couldn't directly classify this song in the limited categories of Newgrounds.
So I put it in trance seeing its more mellow and still holds a dance beat.
Wanning Sun is the Yin to Moon Casting Rays.
They both were made at the same time together and later seperated into their own songs. Wanning Sun being very full with harmonious sounds and textures with a rich environment. While Moon Casting rays is very empty and desolate. They both are opposite in a way but just like the sun and the moon they can't do each others part.

Thanks, at the time when I made this song I fell in love with making the environmental textures to the song. it was only an after thought to consider making it into an IDM piece.

Well he is kinda... If you were aiming to make a soothing song then you hit the nail on the head but it's usually what alot of people won't get into for long... TriNova is kinda right cause If you started to slowly bring in some heavy beats, I might of even gotten into this song cause this song just sounds like it's one long introduction... great though, keep it up!

Over break I will remix this track and get heavy on the beats and progress to the end of the track where its a little more dance like faster. I have more ideas for this song too so it would be cool to integrate them into a new version or new track completely.

I think it would be cool if at 44, it broke out into a dnb/breakbeat drum slice, that would add a lot to it. Then it would be a genre i made up called breakbeat trance! :D
But anyways the synths are nice, the drums arnt overpowering, and it has a nice feel through out the song. Great job!

I might decide to do a remix to this song soon. I love doing intricate drum work. during this project I was going into the DnB realm and then decided to make it 2 projects.
The other track ended up sounding like this songs alter ego. no dance steps and the synths don't play a huge role its all drum work for the most part.
