Boy Magician - Racecar
One of our first real drum and bass tracks, written around 2004 in Cakewalk Sonar. It is probably the only finished song that we ever wrote in Sonar. At the time Sonar had a lot of cool features that Sony (Sonic Foundry) Acid didn't have, mostly better VST support, but I think now Acid has mostly caught up so I don't use Sonar anymore.
I remember working on this song while babysitting my niece when she was a baby, but I don't remember much about what synths we used. The writing process went pretty smoothly and quick though, which is unusual for songs we wrote around then.
Errm.
Well I thought it was good for a dnb track, the style of the different instruments was good and they were well phased. the pan effect at the start was a little off putting, maybe just do it with one instrument. I enjoyed listening to this piece of music. Keep up the good work.
