Okay. So this track is kind of an exercise in instrumental minimalism. I wanted to experiment with the idea of a relatively complex song with incredibly simple instrumentation.
So, I gave myself four 3xOsc channels and started writing. There's a couple key changes in the piece so far (as these are something I've never been terribly good at, and wanted to practice), and I'm hoping to add more complexity as I go on.
I'm gonna reiterate that the simple instrumentation is intentional. If you're gonna review and you bothered reading this, please don't leave a 'man that wuz cool but the instruments were way too midi.' I am aware they're simple.
I feel a lot of artists get caught up in the idea they need amazing samples or VSTs to make music, forgetting that there are fundamental musical issues to be addressed before you really start considering the voice of the music.
In the end, I'm submitting this unfinished piece for feedback before I become too invested. So please, give me a review with any advice you might have.
Simplicity used.
I love the simplistic style of it.Reminds me of back when you could only have a few sounds going at once, and you where happy with working with that. Of course I never was good at it so... I love simplistic style. Plus it's addicting.

Its extremely lacking in quality and then i do not mean the quality of the instruments used but the quality of the composition, it all sounds completely random and in no way contains anything interesting to the ear.
I still gave you a 3 score for the apparent effort but you really need to study some melodical insight, i mean this to be helpful.
A good idea could be for you to look into classical harmonies such as bachs work before you start making music in a genre that is completely dependant on its composition.
This piece isn't random. It followed a very strict chord/key progression. If you can't hear that, I can't help you.
I'm glad you think I put some effort into this, though I'm curious exactly what you mean by 'melodic insight.' Really, please send me a PM with your amazing secrets of melody.

Generic and boring.
needs a little bit of stereo panning, and isnt complex, you got 4 sounds going, composistion is boring, tempo stays the same, no dimension. refer to sonic the hedgehog or worthwhile vg song
