It's been a long time since I submitted anything on NG, mostly because I've been busy with school up to my neck. Add to that work hours and you have the perfect recipe to lose your social life.

First things first, this is definitely not a song that fits in my every day style, so if at any point you want to throw shoes, cans and dead things at me, feel free to do so.

Anyway, yes, you might ask why the hell I decided to remix a song from Moulin Rouge. Well, first off, because my girlfriend challenged me to do so; secondly, because I wanted to work more with voice extraction from other songs; thirdly, I actually like the original song which is called "El Tango De Roxanne" (the ones that have seen the movie know it).

I should say that the "bones" for this song started off with me trying to remix a song from another movie, namely, Mulholland Drive. It didn't turn out right for a couple of reasons, but mostly because the original song was ambient style (it was the instrumental song that plays in Club Silencio; again, those that have seen the movie know how it sounds). So after fiddling a bit with the instruments I came up with something that kind of sounded like it could hold the lyrics from the Moulin Rouge song El Tango De Roxanne. Two days and a whole lot of beer bottles later I managed to cut the voice from the original song and add it to my version.

I had some trouble fitting the voice in some places and had to tweak it a bit so it doesn't sound off. If you listen *really* careful you'll hear minor dis concordances, but nothing that should break the flow of the song.

In any case, I hope you like it. I had a lot of fun making it.
