A tad better

The music itself is alright. Nothing too amazing, but not terrible by any means. The vocals just aren't good in my opinion. Like I said before on the other version of this song the vocals aren't that good, but the screaming parts are a bit better than the other parts.

The intro is beautiful though. If the vocals were the quality of the V for Vandetta clip then this might be a 10/10. :) Good luck on getting a better mic. I'm sure it's more of a mic problem than it is your voice.

Yeah lol it is. Thanks for the review.

Vocals aren't very good

I loved the V for Vendetta intro, it instantly got me interested, and it's also a great film. However, we are here to review your song, not the film.

The vocals are the main problem here. I'm not really much into this style of singing, but I appreciate it when it is done well. Unfortunately, this is not it.

The music isn't too good either. The beat doesn't work when it's just that constant hitting of the drums, and the guitar doesn't always seem to match the vocals.

I think for this kind of music, a fade out doesn't really work. TRy to find a more precise ending.

Ok thanks for the review. I'll try to do something better for an ending.

Great intro

I love the spoken intro - reminds me very much of The Prisoner by Iron Maiden, which has such a well used movie clip in, to get the punters interested.

What you then suffer with is when the music kicks in - the vocals need a lot of work to right. The music itself is decent, but not really to my linking I prefer a better quality of metal, that doesn't have each instrument competing against one another to drown each other out. The vocals drowned out most of the music, which is a shame, but not a great one, as the music does still require work.

I'd suggest that you work on adding a nice metal solo to the piece - metal bands can do this, even to the speed and thrash metal sub-genres. Just look at Metallica for some inspiration. With this and some work on making the song more of a song, you'd certainly have a better sounding piece.

Great potential

===============
Score: 7 / 10
Summary: Great potential
Review: Man, this is just my cup of tea. The only thing I can complain on is how the vocals are way overpowered. Or, I guess it's called overamplified. They take control and push the instruments out, which isn't very good. Fix that, and you've got yourself something I'd defo download.

Also, loving the V for Vendetta intro.

Blackdoom13 responds:

Ok thanks for the review. I'll probably redo the vocals when I get a better mic.

Sounds definitely better

This one sure sounds better than the "unremastered" version. Guitars and drums aren't overamplified anymore, only the vocals are, which lets the song down a bit.

I also like the spoken intro here. That's from the movie "V for Vendetta" right?

Blackdoom13 responds:

Thanks alot for the review! Glad you liked it! Yeah I even think the vocals are a little overpowered, but I honestly cant do anything about it until I can get a better mic.
But thanks for the review! And yes that is V For Vendetta.
