Okay, so gallons and gallons of blood, sweat and tears went into this (not really gallons... ew) and I'm very pleased to say that I think it's my best work yet. Please, listen and review. Tell me your thoughts. I always love getting constructive criticism.

Well done.

Yes, this indeed is a pretty good song. I love the synths and the progression. However, there's one thing that really disappoints me, and that's the fact that you used preset FL Studio Drum Loops. Yes, those loops are outstanding, but I never use them because it's so unoriginal. It makes people think you're not able to produce your own beats. And by listening to this song's quality, I think you also should be able to make your own beats. So stop using preset loops (even though Autopresh is simply the best beat I've ever heard) and start making your own. ;)

PearlDrummer516 responds:

I actually never intended for this song to come out how it did. I was just messing around with some house ideas and such for synths and bass, and I wanted a nice beat in the background. However, the song quickly turned into something great and I just kind of went with it. I totally agree with you though on the drum loop bit. I actually love making my drum sounds just right, and making loops is a pastime of mine. I'm going to come back to this song and fix it up a bit, and also change the loop.

I would like to thank you for listening. I am real proud of this song and I'm glad you like it. I'll be sure to let you know when I make a refix.

simply amazing....

from the start to 0:54 i was hooked! Loved the synths and percussion, it was all perfectly mixed and sounded unbelievable. However, the only thing I didn't like was the part after the calmness, sounded uhm... a bit over crowded ? anyway, this is DEFINETLY your best track so far.

I'm loving the club-ish feel in the star with them percussions, and the cut-off bass. Its amazing what you've done with this track. Well done!

Another great track produced by you!

Mixing was amazing yet again!

Thank you for this track!

PearlDrummer516 responds:

I'm glad that the song has such a great appeal right off the bat. That's good if it can hook the listener in that soon. Yeah, I'm also still trying to tweak that chorus part. I can never make it sound right. I'm in the process of going back and cleaning up all my old songs so I'll come back to this one eventually. I love the club feel too, I'm also glad you're fond of the mixing.

Wow, my best track? You really think this beats Raving Gingerbread Men?!

Thanks for your reviews, I really appreciate them. You actually review the song :P

Joyous, Euphoric

Alright, I may not like house music a whole lot, but I really respect you as an artist, so here goes nothin'. The song starts off with a refreshingly unique and intoxicating beat, which sounds like nothing I've really heard on a house song before. In my humble opinion, the middle kind of slacks a little, specifically from around 2:35 to 4:00, where you explore some really, really neat pitch-bend synths that brings the song back into the realm of skilled soundsmithery. Overall, I feel that the slightly pacified, yet excited, mood of the song works really well, but the middle just kind of sounds a bit generic. Thanks for reading, and keep up the music-making!

PearlDrummer516 responds:

Yes, I love the intro of this song. I actually love this whole song. I suppose you're right though, about the middle. Perhaps send me some tips on how I could improve that section? As for the RB303 effect, the pitch-based lead you hear, I put a lot of work into that melody. I also love how you get a "euphoric" emotion from this song. I found it difficult to describe the mood on this one. Thanks for another one of your excellent reviews man.

Calm

Nice cool Ibiza feel to this.
This would be great in a tropical beach party.
The layering stays at a nice mild relazing but also exciting (at the same time)
I can really see those waves in the pulsing rhythm.

You could even blend this into another euphoric song, with maybe some voice halfway through.

(no personal offense about the Felix the cat comment by the way)

PearlDrummer516 responds:

Hey man, Ibiza? Now that's a compliment. I would love to go there someday. But anyways, I'm glad you enjoy the feel of this song, as I do too. I see what you mean by the relaxing feel as well. Any suggestions for a name for this song perhaps? I don't really like the name I put. Also, any other critiques? I want to know why you gave it a 9. Thanks for listening though!

I like how it grows...

Nice classic AFX feel... I like the build up A LOT, seriously, I thought this song was going to be perfect, until it actually it started...

:O keep going!

PearlDrummer516 responds:

I'm glad you liked the buildup, I was going for a good build up and an even better chorus. Thanks for listening.
