This is one of my all time favorite songs, and i've wanted to cover it for a while now. So here's what i have got so far. It is missing vocals, and the solo. And i'm still working out all the kinks in the "guitar" and bass part. The drums are software, but i made sure that they weren't exactly the same as the actual song, to give it a slightly different feel. Oh and the "guitar" part is just me playing the bass on the upper frets, and using a k-bo (Or what ever it's called) on the 12th fret, so that's why it might sound a bit off. So tell me what ya think, and enjoy. =3
On a side note, i'm putting it in grunge, even though Collective Soul was apperently post grunge, but if it belongs somewhere else, just tell me.

This is one of my favoritist songs of all time, and yeah, I did just use Favoritist. To start off, you turned the main riff into a techno/metallic like riff and I didn't like that so much. The bass was pretty good. The drums you added sound pretty horrible. And then ontop of that, software drums are always a song destroyer.

I don't know how it turned into a techno song, but okay. This was an early version of this song that i did, and all i had was Guitar pro and audacity, and the fact that all i had to distort the guitar was something on audacity, i'm not surprised that people wont like it. This is among my favorite songs of all time, i have done another version of the song with a little better quality overall, but i do know this will need some work. Sorry that i wont be able to have a real drummer do it, i don't have that kind of money unfortunately. =\

one of the best
among my favorite songs ever as well. as far as genre, i think grunge works, post-grunge isn't too much diff from grunge.
this is a really good cover, can't wait til you finish working out the kinks. keep doing what you do, i'm sure the final result will be amazing.
