Its missing a little something...
I listened to the piece, i read the story.. Then i listened to the piece again.. And i thought the boy hasn't leap off the edge yet.. So i listened to it again, still nothing. So i re-read the story again.. Aha, that explains the serenity i hear as the protagonist takes in the view of his village.
Perhaps i've seen too much videos and movies but i think a bold addition (much like the entry of the piece) should be added somewhere around 1:25 to 1:30... The part where it sounds to me like where the air around him was getting less dense, urging him to fly. Then all of a sudden, its as if hes already in the sky, looking down from above.
Its just my opinion but its still a very heart soothing piece. I like!
