Cool
This was a really, really cheery piece, but in a kind of sad way I don't know how to describe it. I really liked it. Only thing I didn't like was the intense repetition, but it is intended for menu music, so it actually fits its purpose very well. The ending is a bit scary as well, but I don't imagine most players will even hear it, as few people spend 2 minutes + on the menu screen. I have no clue why this song was given a 1/5, I thought it was very well done.
Well, as of 6-4-06, it's got a 0.75. This is because some people recently voted two pieces of mine into the top ten, which attracted some soulless downvoters to my page. I was angry for a minute, but now I don't particularly care. Most of the stuff here is not very appropriate for flash work, anyhow. I consider the really low scores for obviously fairly good work more indicative of a 14-year-old level of erudition than any true feelings. I have a sneaking suspicion at least a few of the downvoters didn't listen to the pieces, since almost all of my work seems to have lost two or more points.
That aside, thank you. This piece was originally for piano and voice, though I didn't write any lyrics. That is why the end is a little scary. It's got fat piano chords instead of a leadish sort of thing. I am very surprised this hasn't been used yet. I suppose this piece would only fit into a game, or maybe even a movie, with a character who matches up with this music. It's fairly unusual and character-y. Or whateva.
I think anyone reading this should get an account and rack up some fair votes. Not fives, unless you feel it's warranted, but not zeroes either, because I know that none of my music deserves that.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
