Power. That was my entire concept for this piece. I wanted to create power. Everything has a high sense of force behind it the entire time. Pure power...how close could I get?
I think this is the most powerful thing that I have ever written, and I hope that you agree. Could I have done more? Take something out? Add something? Nothing short of Power?
I may not have too much to say about this, but I hope that you do. So please, leave a review however short it may be, but make it insightful. And vote too. But of course, make sure that you enjoy the "Conquest".

I would like to see more percussion used in the background at some points, even if subtle. I didn't really get "power" out of it, but more like a shift of power through sinister means (kinda like the review below me...think Wormtongue and Theoden in Lord of the Rings). That's the feeling I got anyway. Great composition though, and with a little more "richness", it could be a great, short piece!
Hmmm...I believe I see what you are saying. I will admit that this is not by best as well. I can see why the percussion could be used more, but that just seems to be a weak point of mine.

I enjoyed this quite a bit my friend. The composition is quite nicely done. I think that you could have far more of a buildup, and even more so of a final powerful cathartic section. But despite that, this is quite a pleasure to listen to.
I think the big thing for you is to improve your sample library. It seems to be lacking. I'm not sure what you are using, but I would recommend getting something along the lines of EastWest gear or even ProjectSam stuff. Both are well worth the money, and you would benefit greatly from the upgrade in samples.
As a piece I enjoyed this greatly. But it never truly had that all powerful climax. It just needed a little something more for me.
5/5 and 9/10 overall. Nice work here my friend.

Hmm...yes, I can see that. The most trouble I had was finding a powerful climax. Perhaps a different ending is within order.
As for the sample library, it actually sounds very nice. So nice, that Finale can't save MP3 files using these samples. I have to use online converters which inevitably decrease the quality.
AS for the buildup, I recently thought about adding an entire new section to the begining. I think that I will, and that it will add quite the contrast as well.

Hmmm, I'm trying to think of what it made me think of though. Maybe like, one of those movies, where the King of the village is falling ill and the young son is to become the new ruler. But something (feel free to fill in the blank with whatever situation you can think of most appropriate) sinister is at play. The King knows it and so do his loyal villagers.
Only one of them is strong enough to withstand the battle that entails, having him brought out the truth. But because he (orSHE) did so, there was good to come. The King passed away, his honorable son came to rule and the people of the village were all happy. Except for that evil one who intended on messing everything up.
Sorry I can't offer you any helpful insight as to suggestions or whatnot with the song. It was lovely to listen to over and over a few times. Very consistent, nice melody, the orchestrals were lovely as well. The build up was simple and the ending, smooth. My speakers were a bit crackley, but that's probably just my speakers and the way I have them set up. I'd love to hear anything else you might release from here on, too. Until we may type again, friend. . .
