Don't mess with the tempo.

It was going well, even with the vocal sample from Scorpion thrown in for effect, until you decided to mess with the tempo at the end, which ruined the track for me. Even with the hard hitting power of the notes, they need to be coming thick and fast to get the adrenaline pumping, otherwise, they are just a waste.

I think that the piece could quite easily have been made longer, since with the setup effectively having 2 verses and a chorus, it could be extended to another loop, with a different solo in at the end, to mark it as your own.

thanks, as for the outro, i just didn't want it to end abruptly, so i made it like that, but now i see that i made it unnecessary long.

I must have a different opinion than the other reviewers. I loved how fast paced it was and loved how you made an old song original in your own way!

The vocals really surprised me. I didn't expect them to be there at all and I thought it was awesome the way that you used them. Perhaps introducing the vocals at the very intro could have made me more prepared when I heard them later on.

The ending was pretty cool as well. You usually hear songs ending abruptly or with a fade out, but the way that you did it was really cool and original. I liked this song a lot. Great job.

wow thanks :p

Good, but could use some work.

The intro does seem a little out of place, especially at 0:06-0:12 going into the main section; the hi hat just seems odd and it felt like you were just trying to find any way to get to the main part. It just about works, but it could use a second look just to get that transition a little smoother.
The section after that, however, is good. I like the switches between the two synths, the contrasts between them when they were together worked well, and the levels were such that neither really overpowered the other. I like the really subtle percussion during it as well, because it's nice and quiet, but loud enough to make a difference and be heard in the track.

The introduction of the voices was cool, but it perhaps would have made a little more sense if there was one or two sound effects before in the track, just to link it a little better together. And the lower synth doing a sort of harmony around 1:08 could have been brought out a little more, because what it was playing sounded good. The slowdown at the end is a nice touch, but I think it went on for waaay too long given that it was just the theme on the one synth being done on a loop. If you'd added in another synth for variety or just shortened the length of the slowdown, I think it'd have worked fine. But 20+ sec of the same thing feels a little overdone quite quickly. But in general, this is a pretty good effort.

lol yeah that outro was long, but thanks for the review.

MK, I like

Cool, very cool.
The intro although starts a bit straight to the point, you could have added a drum solo or something to make it a bit better.
Drum work I have to say was pretty decent, the hi-hat was the only thing I could hear in some points which got annoying and repetetive.
The instruments were Pretty good, they were cool and they sounded like they could be the soundtarck to any forthcomin; MK Game. Who Knows? If you perfect it, with a little help, you can make it, let's all hope ;-)
The ending was very strange though, it noticed that it was getting slower but you made it slower pattern by pattern which didn't sound good at all.
Sound effects and Voice samples were pretty good too but it's too bad that you used them in only one part of the song.

*Overall*
Good, and also, congratulations, this is the 1000000th MK remix on NG, lol jk

the intro was like that because i didn't have any ideas for a longer intro, neither for drums variation.the ending wasn't slowing down pattern by pattern, it was just a slow slowdown, and OMG the 1000000th MK remix on NG? awesome :3

Good start

It's hard to come up with anything new regarding the Mortal Kombat theme music, but I like your shot at it. You managed to add a few things that make this track original, for example the little voice samples or the way you designed the outro.

However, I think the drums - especially the ones we can hear in the intro - don't fit too well into the song. They seem to be a little off beat.

Overall it's a good try for your first real track, so please do not feel discouraged by the "low" score (hey, a 7 is still a high score in my opinion ;) ), but I had to take a point away for originality (as I've said, there are tons and tons of MK-remixes out there) plus I didn't like the intro too much.
But anyway, still a good start and I'm looking forward to hear more tracks from you in the future. ;)

thanks, i don't think 7 is a low score either, i agree that there are tons and tons of MK remixes, but i couldn't resist :P
