Hi, this is my new style... Progressive Trance; im working on the progressive part, im new to percussion and sound design. But i like making my own effects. Its pretty short but i think it sounds pretty good.

Woo!

Potential

After listenening to many of the other submissions on newsground, i have a very good feeling about you. Actually trying to figure out what parts you're going to put in a song is tough and hard to think of. I really like the melody you have here.

What I do is build a loop that contains every single drum and synth the song is going to have for its climax. Then I start with just 1 or 2 instruments, and keep adding them on to build up to the climax. Then I take most the instruments away and then head towards the breakdown. I'd really like to hear you add even more synths and interesting beeps, change the pad chords and Bass Line between the verses and climax to something really contrasting.

That's one way to look at progressive trance. I want to hear your revision!

Elph responds:

I am trying to work on my layering to get the FULL trance sound

Thanks for the advice :)

Pretty good

I like this alot. Although it doesn't have a climax at all. Thats really the only problem though. The song is quite relaxing and the title fits it well.

Keep experimenting and this could be alot better.

Thanks :)
