I don't use Fruityloops much so can't really help you with your question. I mostly use Reason 4 rewired with Cubase 5 which caters for most of my musical production needs.
As for the music, I like the badass synth bass and you are in the right direction using egyptian scales, gives a daunting atmosphere. The drums are somewhat tribal and loutish which doesn't suit me but now we are talking personal taste so moving on :P

This could be end of level boss material in a game haha!

Keep it up, oh yeah for some kind of lead synth try a square / saw wave with a low pass filter and another triangular wave mixed in to start you off.
