OK, I've just had this track looped for the sixth time or so and I still wasn't sick of it. That means that you've done a great job, my friend ;) I especially like the intro, which feels very knightly indeed, and even the 8 bit samples didn't throw me off as much as I thought they would when I listened to it the first time. Now am curious, though, how a full spectrum mix (i.e. superior soundfonts higher than 8 bit) of this track would sound... ;-)
Thanks! Perhaps I should make a more "modern" sounding mix of this, with a wee bit of compositional elaboration to fit.
