First off, NO SAMPLES!
Second, this was something that I was going to hold off on until I officially had 250 fans but I just couldn't let it wait so...here's to 221 fans! It would be nice to list you all but I don't want to go over the character limit accidentally. So, YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! THANK YOU!
Third, this is NOT me singing. This is a remix of Dwele's "Hold On". I made the beat and that's it. Personally I like the original better, but I just tried to give it a different vibe. Sort of a Neo-Soul, smoother vibe dontcha think? Compare the original and this one. I'd love to see that in reviews.
I put a LOT of hard work into this one. Usually I work on tracks for four or five hours but this one took DAYS. Sometimes the next day I didn't like what I put down so I erased and started over on some parts. Sometimes I hate being a perfectionist....ughh. Also, the track not having a set tempo (that at least my PC couldn't recognize) didn't make it any easier, so I did not use a metronome. I apologize if the track seems a little off at parts. I'll prob fix it later but for now I'm just glad I'm done. Phew!
I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome, but do you guys like it? Let me know in the reviews and rate plz.

As one of your 221, I have to admit it was not your best, but it was a tough task i'm sure. I tried mixing some off tempo beats last week, drove me nuts i'm still struggling with it so i get you.
Any way, some times you were off like you said, I couldn't get passed it though, like my ears would twitch every time the beat was off, so something you should probably work on. If you tightened this up a bit, possibly speed it up a little...my opinion, but i dont kno anything, it would be a stellar track, like 98% of your other ones :)
Any way still enjoyed it, cant wait for more, as per usual.

Yeah, like I said in the review it still needs work. I just REALLY wanted to release it because I was working on it for such a long time. I'm definitely going to fix up some things, post an updated version, and let everyone know about it. It was really maddening that I couldn't sync this up to the metronome correctly throughout the entire song, and my PC couldn't figure out the BPM either because it changes throughout the entire song.
So I def know that in the chorus that it's about good, but in the second and third verse the timing is a little off. Also, I'm going to lower the kick a little bit. It's still gonna be a loud THUMP but I just don't want it so loud that it feels like it's misplaced....and of course the hi-hats need work.
