This is a poem I wrote for a friend of a friend who's going through some pretty rough stuff at the moment. I've left out specifics because the last thing I want to do is broadcast to the world who she is and what happened to her.
The police are still "investigating", even though its pretty clear what happened. Pray that when justice is served they get made the bitch of the prison.

I thought I would write a song
filled with hate
Fucking hate pouring from my
mouth poisoning the ground
in which that man walks

but instead I turn my head
towards the victim
I heard all about it, or at
least enough without the
graphic details of what
those three guys did to you

all alone in that room
I know your soul was severed
when it happened that day

you summoned the courage to
speak to the police
Justice should be swift
but they take their time
but no matter how quick it is
it doesn't take away what he did

He ruined everything and
you can't seem to put it together
your beautiful and you can't
loose hope now.

I'm begging you please
don't let the world loose you now.
cause if it does
then the world may as well
loose itself and spin off
into the darkness

at least the darkness is
what suits us most I suppose

but let me tell you there's
a light that we the darkness
has shunned for far to long
it is small, but if you
could see behind the scenes
its so bright it makes you clean

It makes god weep
to see you like this
He doesn't want this to ruin your
life
you may ask if he's God and all
powerful and all loving and infinite
why would he let such a thing happen
its something we have all screamed

He sent his only son
you know the one
he came to stop this from happening
ever again
we the darkness nailed him
to a cross and thought we had won

We the darkness those three cunts
thought they had quinched the light
but after three days the light came
back to prove that you couldn't
keep it down and that the darkness
is NOT the strongest

it runs and hides like the spineless
as the light comes down to make
sure it never happens to you again
