This was pretty much my first venture into a strings quartet and writing music for it. I wanted to write something slow but noble, so I did. I call this one the Inventor because the beginning reminds me of some inventor's workshop.

You know the drill- constructive criticism is the only thing I will go back and try to change in the song if I read your reply. So try to leave something constructive... e.g. the melody was too quiet. This way, I can improve (eventually) and actually write good music that people enjoy.

P.S. THIS SONG IS SUPPOSED TO NOT HAVE A CLIMAX. IT'S SUPPOSED TO STAY THE SAME AND BE QUIET... SORT OF LIKE BACKGROUND OR AMBIANCE. IT'S SIMPLY A STYLISTIC CHOICE.

Very soothing but a bit creepy in a good way?

Well. I gotta agree with the guy below!
Great piece I could see this going into something like a Tim Burton film, especially that it sounds a bit creepy, and aso its different than what you normally get here on Newgrounds!!!! :D
The only thing though is that I would like to see a couple more pitch changes and maybe a woodwind section! but still this ones definently a stellar.

Keep up the good work man, going straight to my Ipod!

I love this so much! This is has to be your best work! I would love to hear this expanded on. Not only was the musicality brilliant, but whatever you used to record it is amazing quality as well. Were those real strings!? If not what did ou use? They sound so sweet and warm.

It's just some Garritan samples made to go with Finale. Garritan did a good job with strings, but not such a nice job with Brass and such, so I often stick with strings with their sounds now.
