Loved it.
Very mellow, pensive. you almost get lost in it at points.
One of the few things today I've listened from beginning to end.
Deserves all 5 of my rating points :)
This is a very classical piano song with background synths and some drums, pretty simple but effective i think. This song is ment to have vocals in it but I have not yet put them in, so here are the lyrics instead, (use your imagination for vocals)
The Sailor
It's not the waves that get me
It's the openness
It's the emptiness... spanning for miles
Wrapping its arms around me
Swallow me whole'
I'm just trying to find my sea legs
Where did they go?
Where'd they run off too?
Where did I go?
I can never seem to keep track of those things
Or keep track of me
Or keep track of the path that my mind wonders off to
When I want to be somewhere else not in the sea
I just want to spend my life in the water
Soaking up like a sponge
How do I tread water in an endless sea...
With only half of me
Maybe I can grow gills and swim with every soul that's been lost at sea
Just like me
But I'm afraid of drowning
And I'm afraid of drifting
It seems I'm afraid of a lot of things these days...
I think I took a wrong turn somewhere
And ended up nowhere
And I'm going nowhere fast
Can you please tell me...
How should I feel?
When you've lost yourself
And can't be found and you'll never see dry ground
This is my private message to the world
This is all I am
And this ocean is the last friend I'll have
I have a new home
