So here's how this was recorded:

1. Badly
2. Put a single condenser mic next to opened upright piano and acoustic guitar, did single instrumental track sharing the mic.
3. Used the same mic to do the vocals, with both of us sharing the mic. (This means no individual mixes, nothing.)
4. I realized how out of tune the piano was, so I played along in garageband with a really bad VST piano, and deleted the old instrumental track.
5. Listened along to this and added acoustic guitar and some little string section tweaking.

So this is the super duper janky DEMO version of this song, but we will be doing a better version as soon as Christmas break is over. Thanks for all the votes and support, PLEASE VOTE AND REVIEW!
