haha not bad :P
So.. basically.. im just saying this but.. this blows my first song way out of the water xD my first song was like a 10 second loop :P
so.. first off.. Volume levels were really really high for the strings at the beginning then the synth comes in and its a lot less quiet.. but.. i'll talk to you about that.. its really easy to fix :P and makes your song sound a lot better just from mixing the song :P
okay.. second thing.. i felt that the melody was a little.. rushed? i might say.. but i mean.. its a remix so.. i mean anything goes for that :P but it still sounded kinda weird cause everyone knows the tempo to the happy birthday song :P the right tempo is like the strings at the beginning :P but.. it sounds more normal everytime i hear it.. so.. its actually not bad :D
third thing.. your kick... is.. um.. how do i say this.. um.. terrible? xD hahahah i can barely hear it.. but i mean.. everyones first couple songs always have bad drums.. not to hate or anything.. i will gladly give you good drum kits and such.. so.. im just telling you this so people wont hate on your good songs when just your kick isnt the best.. you know? Cause a lot of people do that :P
fourth.. Um quick little thing.. but you should put reverse cymbols infront of your regular cymbals.. it makes it sound a lot better :) also.. to tell you the truth.. the "hehehahahaha" voice clip.. doesnt fit in this song at all.. sorry man.. im just honestly telling you that.. It was really loud compared to the whole song and just all of a sudden pops up.. i had the same problem for a long time.. i just wanted to put vocals in my song but i didnt know what sounded good or not.. anddd.. (another reoccuring theme on newgrounds) People hated on a good song just cause 1 thing was wrong.. but hey.. critisism can help a lot sometimes :) other than that.. your synth sounded great..
OH another thing.. you need a bass and a pad.. sooo basically.. it was kinda hollow.. but no worries.. bass and a pad can fix that easily.. so basically.. you put kicks (that are 2 blocks long) 2 block away from eachother.. right? sooo with a bass.. you just fill in those holes with a bassline! i'll help you out more on msn when we get the chance.. and a pad is just the bassline.. but longer and usually is like a violin type of sound.. so.. yeah.. pretty much an amazing first song i'll have to say :P kinda short.. but thats all good :D hope to see more submissions from you :)
