This song has a somewhat unusual story behind it... a sad one at that.

My ex girlfriend and I have been broken up for approximately two months now, and I wrote this song as an attempt to try and re-establish our wounded relationship. I think it may have worked slightly in my favor; whereas, this truly describes my feelings towards her and how I am ready to start our lives together (we just turned 19). However, my attempt(s) failed...

I figured maybe someone else would enjoy this song, it's one of my favorites. I apologize for the ridiculous explanation that went along with it.

should be called genuine!

What a beautiful explanation- honesty will get you far. Speaking of honesty, I must honestly say I loved the pace of the piece- it moved along with the higher notes but slowed up at around 1:57 with the shorter bursts and the ending was very smooth. I like the way the high notes came in after a lower octave introduction. You are very, very talented! Thanks for sharing!

montehawks responds:

Thank you so so so much Ceramica :)

Not really a classical piano piece but nice music.

Most if not all my music was for my Ex so I can see where you're coming from. Don't be ashamed of the explanation, it is not ridiculous, it's genuine, and brave of you to speak up about it really. I liked the music, It's soothing in a sense, but also energizing. Make more, I guess all I can say is you made the best of a bad situation by making music for your ex etc, I find my best music is made whenever I feel awful and want to turn it all around.

Good luck.

montehawks responds:

I wasn't sure on what category this piece belonged to; so, I chose classical. I apologize if that wasn't entirely correct.

However, I have found that I do write best when I have the inspiration to write. When I'm upset, happy, or whatever else, the music just flows from my thoughts and is easily transferred into beautiful notes and chords on screen. Without inspiration, I am encumbered with writers block and the lack of willingness to want to write.

Thank you for your review :)

It's a great song, especially when put in context

So there is no need to be sorry for the explanations. But you can give this song a new meaning. To me, this song is a bittersweet theme to going forward, leaving the past behind and starting anew.

It can apply to your past relationship with your ex-girlfriend, or it can apply to your present relation with life. It goes on, and so will you, forgiving yourself and others for mistakes and eventually build something beautiful and totally worth it.

Gosh I can be so hippy/new age sometimes... oh well! ;-)

montehawks responds:

Your words are very inspirational, and I thank you :) Indeed, something very beautiful has come out of parting ways with my ex, and that being a wonderful new girl whom I'm becoming very acquainted to. I'm still trying to forgive those who've hurt me; however, I feel soon they will be forgiven and my life will continue at an even better pace than it was before, happier too. :)
