This song is the main character's theme for a game I'm making. Thought I'd upload it so people can listen if they want to.
Also, there is a story that follows along with this track, offering a view into the history of one of the many cities of the game world. I have posted it below if you would like to give it a read. Fair warning though, it is a decent-sized bit of history.
"Long ago, before the happenings of the great war, the city of Luvaria soared prosperously above the skyline. It was home to many races, most prominently the Czeti, which resemble today's angelic beings guarding the gates to the city of Roil. When the war broke out, Luvaria, commanding the most powerful air force in Valerion, took up arms and fought against the High King. It was a battle full of hardship and strife, but in the end, Luvaria emerged victorious.
Although the war ended in victory for Luvaria, its inhabitants, the Czeti, were beings that reproduced only once during their lifetime, so their race had greatly dwindled due to war casualties. Because of this, the Luvarian king then decreed that a state of isolation was needed in order to preserve the Czeti's numbers. From then on, the city of Luvaria was closed to any and all foreigners, be they saints, or demons.
(Song starts here)
100 years later, a young man, Zahe, comes across a pillar inscribed with strange runic designs. He touches them, only to provide what seems like a catalyst to an ancient spell. The pillar starts to rumble, and the ground starts to rise up beneath him. He attempts to balance himself on the ever-heightening fissure of dirt and grass, as the ground takes him above the clouds. He shields his eyes from the wind with his arm, and to his amazement, when he takes his arm away, the mythical city of Luvaria lay before his very eyes. A chimera flies overhead - it's wing flap sending a huge gust towards Zahe, making him duck and cover his face.
The inside of the city is teeming with life. There are many different shops and stalls set up, offering a wide variety of never-before-seen goods unavailable to the rest of Valerion. The towers, with their old designs, are breathtakingly beautiful, and many Czeti can be seen flying in and out of the tower windows as though they were doors. Street musicians cover many areas of the city, giving the gift of music to all passerby. Zahe had witnessed something that very few will in their lifetime - the existence of the mythical city of Luvaria."
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
