Sample: Parts of Super Mario World's 'Fortress' BGM modified with SNESAmp

A few weeks back I did some planning of a new beat tape. Being the remixer turned beatmaker I am, decided to go with all SNES-based tracks. I had already did one featuring the final bowser battle from SMW as well as the game over theme so looking for that 'epic' mario sample was moderately difficult and so I decided to go with the classic.

The sample was ripped from the SPC set, muting several channels so I only got parts of the song. All of this was done with WinAmp and SNESAmp.

The intro to the song is actually part of the outro on a previous track from the beat tape. (Uploading that one too). The title comes from two other tracks on the beat tape 'Demons' and 'Angels'.

Anyway, I'm unclear on the music genre, song uses bits of the modern hip hop style although would be mostly based in the old olskool or video game genres.
