Very nicely played and mixed, but it feels like it changes styles about halfway through. It starts like an ambient song and then sort of becomes more dubstep.
But with that said, it's fun to listen to. It's unique and flavorful.
(WIP)
Down-tempo remix of a DNB track entitled "Creeper Dub" that I released a year ago. I'd originally intended that to be a creepy dub track as the name implies, but somehow I got caught up in the energy of the project and turned it into DNB. So finally, with completely different mediums of production at my disposal, I've made the remix that I always wanted to make.
Used a Peavey Cirrus 5-String Bass, an Ibanez SR506 Soundgear 6-String Bass for the melody/soloing, and a Korg Kaossilator, all processed through a Korg Kaoss Pad 3 for effects, and recorded and touched up on my laptop.
Enjoy, and I appreciate any feedback :]

Thank you :]
DonâEUTMt like to say it again but yea ambient is the genre here, but still very good especially if you were imagining a scene.
If you were looking at making this a song that people just listen to however i donâEUTMt think it would do because its more of a background song. Like in anime, when someone has there own solo scene walking across the sand you know? I would like to know where you stood on creating this and wether it is based for background.
But again Good Work -----Zx
If you want to know why I created it this way, it is really a matter of self-expression. It came out sounding like this because of the mood I was trying to capture and the tools that were at my disposal. The style I chose to do it in was Electronic Dub, not Dubstep, and Ambient is the closest option available on this website. Dub is a style of music that is very broken-down, mellow, and effects-driven, with a primary focus on the bassline. But as I said to the last reviewer who brought that up, the question of genre isn't really important in terms of this review.
"If you were looking at making this a song that people just listen to however i don't think it would do" - What does that even mean? What else is music for, if not listening to? I appreciate that you think it might make good background / exposition music for something cinematic as well, and I hope somebody chooses to use it this way, but i don't think there's any reason that people can't enjoy this as a song. Are you saying my song isn't likeable or easy to listen to? I feel insulted by that sentence, no music artist wants to hear that.
I'm not interested in how you think my music should be used or categorized, that isn't at all useful to my work. I was hoping to read a review of the actual song itself. The How's and Why's aren't as important as the What's. I'd rather hear about what specific parts of the song you liked and which parts you didn't, critiques on things like instrumental voices, textures, organization, and musical form. 4 reviews on this so far, and NONE OF THEM have anything to say at all about the actual content of this song. FML
This would be great in a low-key suspense scene. I'm imagining some Splinter Cell-esque infiltration going on here. Nice work!
What didn't you like about it? You say nice work, but not even nice enough for 4 stars? Explain yourself! Descriptive feedback would be a lot more helpful here, this is a work in progress and I need all the advice I can get to make it sound it's best. If you're gonna drag my score down, at least back it up with some constructive criticism. A useful review usually has more than three sentences in it.
More ambient than dubstep? I don't feel like it gets anywhere but the effort is noticable.
I'm not too into dubstep actually, I was really going for electronic dub, which draws aspects from electronic, ambient, and reggae music. I draw a lot of inspiration from Hallucinogen's "In Dub" album. It kills me that they don't have Dub available as a genre on NGs, seeing as dubstep was definitely not what I was trying to do exclusively, but I guess Dub music just isn't popular enough to have representation on this site. I would appreciate it if you reviewed the actual freaking song instead of nitpicking about genres, because that really isn't the point of this review space... I don't feel like this review gets anywhere, but the effort is noticeable. ;b I might change the genre anyway just to avoid getting 0-bombed by dubstep lovers...
Interesting, I got a Diablo-esque feel to it with some western (?) styles tossed in. Quite enjoyable.
Not sure what you mean by that, but thank you!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
