Smashing piece. This really reminds me of the song Voice of the Rain. If you like this song, you should really listen to that one.
Would be categorized as Easy Listening were it not for the ending...
A song that swells, drifts, churns, rises, tenses, and breathes. At its core is an electric guitar outlining a nice minor seven nine.
A tribute to the style of music that's best described as 'narrative rock'. Loosely fuses musical ideas from Explosions in the Sky's music and the Mass Effect 3 soundtrack.
UPDATE 4/18/12
Previously a snippet, Evening Rain is now a piece in three movements. It does linger a bit too long in some of the patterns; i.e., it is at times repetitive, but I hope you enjoy the changes overall.

Very nice song.
Thanks. Very quaint review.
Oh, yes. This is perfect. Just perfect. The right blend of ambiance mixed in with build... with motion... I want it to go on forever. It was precisely what I was wanting to listen to at the moment, and so, while I suppose one could criticize the song, how can I complain when it filled that gap in my soul?
I want it to go on forever. My literal only complaint is that I want way more of the sounds in that last minute as the music fades away and vanishes with a scream.
You left me wanting even more. How dare you play on my heart like that.
Excellent ambience, but it still leaves me wanting and waiting for that B part of the song (modulations, anything, give me anything). It would dramatize the feeling (could be happy or sad).
That said, you get my 4.5 because you left me waiting for more, you...! :P
Yeah, a B section with some different chords and movement would give it some dimension! I can't wait to develop the song further.
Thanks for the rating.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
