I shed a tear or two while writing this song, because it brought back a lot of memories from when this experience happened. The song covers how I was feeling at a time in my past, a time when I was visited by my own personal demons.

Call it emo, call it gay, it doesn't matter to me. This was just me getting this off my chest, because I have never told anyone about this experience. In a sense the song is actually about having hope when it seems like all is lost. So if you ever feel like there is nothing worth living for, just remember that it will always get better in time, you just need to push through it.
