The jazzy, progressiveness of this song is amazing. But the lyrics get really depressing in the end. I dunno, i really had an impact on me. You know how to make a song that is not boring, and I applaud you for making such a master piece.
Okay so vocals took awhile and they still suck LOL. Here we are anyway. I hope you guys enjoy, and good luck to all the other NGADM competitors! just noticed the noise at the end but I don't care enough to fix it LOL
Sad poor boy,
He's born of the trough
No exclusive home
He dreams beneath his willow
But he never shed one tear
He's been drained dry by all his peers
All the Earth shares their seed
Behold, we're fifty gallons full
Virgin girl, pure, mature,
Fit to bathe in our sweet release
Contractions, he's coming; it's time now
Born blank, bald, and bloody, our hideous pride
She sighs, he screams, oh!
Trough boy is yours too, he's globally shared
All the earth
Is obligated to raise
The child of the trough
The child is deaf, blind, and dumb
He's below the par
Just a burden now
Let him go
Sad poor boy
Bred to drift away
All the earth banished him
The boy will die alone

Thanks man! poor poor trough boy. really this song is pretty gross, LOL.
Thanks for the review!
NGADM 2 and stuff.
Work of art. That's what this is... A true work of art. Unfortunately, the vocals were not present when I issued my score for this, so I will not be taking them into account (Although they are awesome, as always).
I really don't wanna just gush over this, cause that'd be lame... but honestly, there's not much else I can say, it's prog, it's awesome, it's very well done, and in your time in the NGADM, you have become one of my favorite NG artists. You simply do prog right...
I was especially fond of the section at 4:18... Seriously, sounded a lot like something Dream Theater would do, progressive, heavy, mind numbingly technical.
On top of all this, I noticed you addressed the kick issue I had with your round 1 submission.
Honestly, the biggest reason I docked you points was because you didn't manage to get the vocals in the song before the deadline, there's really not a whole lot more I can complain about on this track. The rest is relatively minor, such as maybe smoothing out a transition here and there to help listeners associate the different sections more easily.
Still, you are ridiculously talented, and I'm very glad to see you submitting to the portal, and I hope you keep submitting for a long time. 9/10.
Thank you BFP <: It warms my heart to see kind words from you!
I'm so happy for NGADM, I suck at getting motivation and these great reviews and constructive words help make me a better musician. It's all because of you guys <: imagine what the kick drum would've sounded like without everyone's help!
So I thank you <: The next track will be fully complete I promise
Reminds me of Cynic. That's awesome :D
You made this in just two weeks? That's awesome too :D
Great lyrics, I'm jealous.
I've written some bad reviews but this one is probably the worst. Sorry it had to be for your song.
5/5
Fleshbag
CYNIC ARE THE BEST
They're my favorite band actually, so diverse and fluent.
Thank you for your kind review even if it was your worst! <:
WOW. This really is a piece of art. The vocals flow real nice, the synth arpeggios are really nice, the bass around 2:00 is holy shit. Is that you playing bass, or god? This whole song is really nice, progressive jazzy rock. Even though I'm mainly a heavy metal musician, this song REALLY makes me want to start doing jazz. This whole song is just amazing. The bass, the rhythm guitar, lead guitar, solos, the drums. This song is like getting a natural high, without needing any intoxicant. That is a really interesting bridge at 4:18. I like how it suddenly gets heavy. i can definitely hear you have a bit of Djent influence in your music. It reminds me alot of The Contortionist, and Animals As Leaders. This is an interesting song for sure. Plenty of jazz, hard rock, alternative, progressive metal influence all rolled into one track. I really like it, this is honestly one of the best songs I've heard on Newgrounds. Sorry for this review being SOOOOOO damn long. I just am amazed by the amazingness of it. Have a 5. You deserve one for sure.
That's actually a seven string guitar doing the arpeggios, much less impressive LOL. I'm glad you like jazz! Jazz has so much character in music, it's my favorite genre to listen to.
Thanks for the kind review! I appreciate the comments <:
I also wrote this review and judged your piece before you added vocals.
This sounds largely like an improv of some sort, mainly because the song style and direction keeps on changing throughout the song.
I really didn't understand were you were going with this. At one point it thought it was going to be some sort of a chill track.
But then you introduce parts of the song that sound too frenetic for that (around 4:20).
I am also dissappointed that you chose not to use vocals in this entry, which I think is strong point that you should have taken advantage of.
overall this song appears to be directionless, although your production values are great as usual.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
