Here we've got one of the remixes I made for the amazing free Metroid remix album; Harmony of a Hunter: 101% Run, organised by Shinesparkers. You must check it out:

This particular remix is a remix of the Luminoth theme from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. It's an awesome but underrated theme and I think that my tribal/orchestral rendition of it works well. Before I go on, thanks to Buoy for the incredible acoustic guitar work!

So this uses East/West Symphonic Orchestra Silver for all the orchestral instruments you're hearing, East/West Ra for all the ethnic melodic instruments and some of the drums, East/West Stormdrum 2 for most of the percussion, and East/West Buoy for the acoustic guitar. This has a pretty weird instrument set, ranging from a dizi to a duduk to a guitar to brass to a glockenspiel to a jaw harp to a normal harp and everything in-between. Just the usual overly-complex instrumentation you get from me I guess :3.

Thanks to Darren Kerwin and Torbjorn 'Falcool' Brandud, the respective director and assistant director of this amazing remix album, for giving me a lot of feedback, and on Buoy, Echo, camoshark, Zero-Flare, snuitergup and a few school friends of mine for also giving me tips and criticism.

I hope you enjoy this! It's pretty old now since I finished it months ago and the album only released yesterday, but I'm still proud of it. Thanks for listening!

Great job, Step! This used to be my favorite song until just a few weeks ago, and it honestly deserves that title! My only complaint might actually just be something that Newgrounds does, but that complaint is that the song comes in MP3. Other than that, the song deserves every 5 star rating it can get!

Side Note: I'm planning on starting a YouTube channel, could I use this as music for an intro or whatever you call the thing at the end?

The explorer was amazing and it couldnt have been done witouth you!

Step responds:

It is indeed amazing. I was so psyched when I saw my music in it. It's really well-made and the fact that he timed everything with the music just blew my mind even more.

I'm really glad you think the music is such a strong part of the animation. Thanks for reviewing!

i know what ill be listening the next time im gonna go walkin in da woods ;D. i think this melody can make everything epic

Step responds:

It is a great melody! I took it from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes since this is a cover not an original song, but I tried to vary it as much as I can from the original.

Thanks for two reviews!

I love how great this music is. I was also wondering if you minded if i used it for one of my pvp videos for world of warcraft?

Step responds:

I do not mind at all :3. Go right ahead!

I'm happy you enjoyed this.

Why hello fellow 101% Run arranger.

Great work, nice arrangement with a fantastic atmosphere and full sound. Really has an earthy vibe which was a nice change from the more spacey feel of most of the album. Plus I'm always a duduk fan. The ending is very well executed. Lots of fun overall, and reminds me I should upload my HoaH arrangement here! Cheers.

Step responds:

Hello there fellow 101%er!

I'm glad you enjoyed it man, it feels great coming from you! The album does have quite a bit of a spacey feel in a lot of its submissions but it does have quite a lot of orchestral too! Darren takes full responsibility for that :3.

Oh god yes, duduks are incredible. I love them to bits, and I think they're my favourite woodwind instrument. The flute is my favourite standard woodwind instrument though.

Thanks for dropping by, man. Your arrangement is absolutely phenomenal and this reminds me that I haven't favourited you on Newgrounds yet. Shame on me!

Thanks again!
